What browser storage does
Cookies and similar storage can remember a preference, support security, maintain a technical session or help measure whether pages work correctly. Not every browser entry has the same purpose or duration. The functions actually enabled on the deployed WordPress website determine what is used.
Essential and preference functions
WordPress administration and security tools may use essential storage for signed-in administrators or protected actions. Visitor preferences may use storage when a feature is enabled. Blocking essential storage can prevent the related function from working as intended.
Analytics storage
A single project analytics script is placed after the shared footer and before the WordPress footer hook. Depending on its operation and browser policy, it may use a request or storage to measure visits. Visitors can use browser controls or content blockers according to their preference.
Your browser controls
Most browsers allow you to inspect, remove or block site data. You can also use a private window for a shorter local session. Clearing data may remove saved preferences and require a new session. External services reached through links have separate storage practices and must be reviewed independently.
